Hope in the Dark - Scottish Chamber Orchestra 

Commissioned by the SCO, my piece 'Hope in the Dark' featured the use of bicycle parts in the percussion section. The Scotsman wrote that it "...really stood out with its focused structure and confident writing...the stylish mix of blues and jazz with a nod to Scottish folk music in a beguiling violin solo was captivating." I Ken Whaur I'm Gaun - audio/visual installation

I Ken Whaur I'm Gaun is an immersive film and sound installation exploring oral traditions and languages in Scotland through folk songs found within the archives. The soundtrack was created by Dowally (Dan Abrahams and Rachel Petyt). They researched the national sound archives in Scotland, and responded to a selection of recordings in various ways, including sampling.

Les Racines de l'Eau - soundtrack

Les Racines de l'Eau is a short award-winning film by Belgium film maker Sarah Lederman, about two young women looking for their Jewish identity. It uses transcribed recordings of a Jewish community in Belgium singing a 'nigun', and was recorded remotely with various singers during 2020.

Wild Hearts - soundtrack

Wild Hearts is a film by the Highland Shakespeare Company. Dan semi-improvised a handful of tracks for the soundtrack to this feature length fiction film, playing electric guitar and slide.
